Massage styles
Swedish Massage
Includes gentle, long, kneading strokes along with lighter, pulsing strokes on the outermost layer of muscle combined with the movement of joints, to diminish tension in the muscles and relax the mind.
Manual Lymph Drainage
This style of massage helps flush the body of toxins and stimulates the body's lymphatic system through a light, skin stretching massage along with pumping of the lymph areas. It promots the movement and elimination of lymphatic fluid.
Sports Massage
Implementation of various massage styles and techniques to provide rehabilitation from muscle overuse or sport-related injuries. It also acts as a preventative to sport-related injuries and increases flexibility.
Hot Stone Massage
This is similar to the Swedish Massage, but by using flat, heated stones and the massage therapist's hands to knead muscles. Hot stones are also placed on specific parts of the body to warm up and relax the muscles.
Pulse Point Activation
Works through turning on the body's electrical flow through acupressure point manipulation along the body's meridians. It gently treats chronic injury, stiffness, and anxiety.
Reflexology
Promotes relaxation and healing by involving the use of pressure points and massage on the feet, hands, and ears believed to correspond to organs and systems of the body.
Acupressure
This is an ancient remedy of Chinese traditional medicine often called acupuncture without needles, involves the application of manual pressure to specific points on the body to unblock chi (energy flow) throughout the body to alleviate pain or conditions.
Combination Massage
The most effective massage for pain relief and relaxation, implements various massage techniques dependent on individual client needs.
